Refer a patient to Dr. Anshuman Singh

For colleagues with a patient who has, or may have, a cancer of the prostate, kidney, bladder, testis or penis. A short form or a message is enough to start: the clinic arranges the rest with the patient.

When to refer

Situations we see most often

  • A raised or rising PSA, or a suspicious finding on prostate examination or MRI
  • Blood in the urine, visible or on microscopy, with no cause found
  • A kidney mass or cyst on ultrasound or CT
  • A bladder tumour on cystoscopy or a TURBT report that needs further planning
  • A lump or swelling in the testis
  • A sore or growth on the penis that has not healed
  • A mass at the back of the abdomen (retroperitoneum)
  • A patient who wants a second opinion on a treatment plan they have been given
  • Shared follow-up after surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy elsewhere

What to send

Useful to have, but do not wait for all of it

  • Patient name, age, phone number and the main reason for referral
  • Biopsy, cystoscopy or histopathology reports
  • Imaging (CT, MRI, PET or ultrasound) with the reports and, if possible, the discs or links
  • Recent blood tests (PSA, creatinine, haemoglobin and others you have)
  • Current medicines and other illnesses, such as diabetes or heart disease
